　　青岛西海岸新区是国务院批复的第九个国家级新区，位于胶州湾西岸，是青岛主城区之一。新区以海洋经济发展为主题，享有省级行政管理权限，是青岛市经济社会发展的龙头。

　　In 2022, the New Area registered a GDP of 469.185 billion yuan, up 4.8%, ranking third among 19 state-level new areas in terms of comprehensive strength, only after Shanghai Pudong New Area and Tianjin Binhai New Area.
