宜君县位于关中平原与陕北黄土高原的结合部，南距古都西安120公里，北距轩辕黄帝陵27公里，因适宜君王避暑而得名，属革命老区。全县总面积1531平方公里，辖6镇1乡1个街道办事处2个综合服务中心117个行政村，总人口约10万人。平均海拔1395米，夏季平均气温19℃，空气质量优良天数年均达到300天以上，森林覆盖率54.27%，被誉为秦岭以北最大的一叶“绿肺”。境内有玄奘手植娑罗树、彭祖故里、北魏石窟群、姜女泪泉、云梦山、战国魏长城、旱作梯田、福地湖、动漫花溪谷等，是仰韶文化的发祥地之一，是雁门支队活跃的红色革命老区，是“中国现代民间绘画画乡”。

Yijun county is located in the guanzhong plain the loess Plateau of northern Shaanxi， south of the ancient capital Xi 'an 120 kilometers， north of the Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor Mausoleum 27 kilometers， because it is suitable for the emperor summer named， is a revolutionary base area.
