Efforts will be made to accelerate the construction of such projects as Wanhua Chemical Global Innovation Center and 1Mt/a ethylene project, and strengthen cooperation in various areas such as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), diagnostic reagents, and photochromic materials. The aim is to build a world-class new chemical material industry cluster.

Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd. and other industry-leading enterprises in China have settled in the cluster, and a number of innovation platforms at the provincial level and above have been established, forming a multi-category industrial system integrating basic chemical raw materials manufacturing, synthetic materials manufacturing, specialty chemicals manufacturing, and rubber products industry.

分别位于烟台开发区八角街道白银河以北区域、高新区核心区南部、牟平区沁水韩国工业园内。
The industry cluster is distributed in the north of the Baiyin River in Bajiao Subdistrict, Yantai Economic and Technological Development Area, the south of the core area of Yantai Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, and in the Qinshui South Korea Industrial Park in Muping District.

依托国家综合性新药研究开发技术大平台烟台基地等国家级创新平台及一批龙头企业，以海洋生物与医药科技研发为特色，以生物药和高端医疗器械为核心，打造世界级生物医药产业集聚区、国际生物药谷。
Relying on the Yantai Base of the National Comprehensive Platform for Drug Discovery and Development and other national-level innovation platforms as well as a number of leading enterprises, efforts will be made to build a world-class biopharmaceutical industry cluster and an international biopharmaceutical base. Both the industry cluster and base will focus on the research and development of marine biological and pharmaceutical technologies, and will be centered on biopharmaceuticals and high-end medical devices.

The industry cluster is currently home to a number of national brands, including the Special Industry Base of Marine Biology and Pharmaceuticals under the National Torch Plan. It also encompasses a significant number of industry-leading enterprises and backbone enterprises in various segments, as well as three demonstration enterprises under the National Comprehensive Platform for Drug Discovery and Development, and 20 enterprise technology centers at the national and provincial levels. Products in the industry cluster cover a wide range of areas, including biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostic reagents and vaccines, modern traditional Chinese medicine, and biological health products.

The industry cluster is distributed in the surrounding area of Cishan, Guxian Subdistrict, Yantai Economic and Technological Development Area, and the Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in northern Fushan District.

着力突破增材制造、减速器、控制器、伺服电机等核心部件和关键软件，打造高端智能装备制造特色功能区、高端机器人、激光智造产业集聚区和环磁山国际科研走廊。聚焦整车整机、智能驾驶、车联网等重点领域，推进微波光子集成芯片、新能源汽车核心部件、油电整车等项目落地，打造汽车全产业链研发及生产基地。
Concerted efforts will be made to achieve progresses in additive manufacturing, reducers, controllers, servo motors, and other core components and key software, in order to build a characteristic functional area for high-end intelligent equipment manufacturing, an industrial cluster for the intelligent manufacturing of high-end robots and lasers, and an international scientific research corridor around Cishan. With a focus on key areas such as vehicles, intelligent driving and Internet of Vehicles (IoV), efforts will be made to promote the implementation of projects related to microwave photonic integrated chips, core parts of new energy vehicles, and gas-electric hybrid vehicles, and ultimately establish an R&D and production base covering the whole automobile-specific industrial chain.

集聚区及周边产业基础雄厚，拥有汽车整车设计研发、新能源汽车核心零部件、工业机器人、增材制造等规模以上企业百余家，形成以上汽通用东岳(别克、雪佛兰品牌)整车制造、现代汽车整车设计研发中心和德尔福为龙头，涵盖新能源汽车研发设计、测试、成果转让及轻量化车身、发动机、变速箱、底盘、动力电池、整车电控和热管理系统等传统燃油及新能源汽车全产业链配套。
The industry cluster and its surrounding area have a solid foundation, with more than 100 enterprises above designated size that specialize in automobile design and R&D, core parts of new energy vehicles, industrial robots, and additive manufacturing. Currently, the industry cluster has formed a complete industrial chain for both conventional fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles. This industrial chain is led by SGM-Dongyue's vehicle manufacturing base (Buick and Chevrolet), Hyundai's vehicle design and R&D center, and Delphi. It also integrates new energy vehicle design and R&D, testing, and achievement transfer, lightweight body, engine, gearbox, chassis, traction battery, vehicle electronic control unit (ECU), and thermal management system.
